Class Descriptions
yoga for everyBODY

Full Body - Functional Movement + Relaxation
Functional Movement is inspired by yoga and the desire to increase mobility, functionality, and preserve (or perhaps create) healthy joints. What does that really mean? I want you to be able to improve your squat at the gym, find it easier to bend down to pick up your child, or clean up their toys, and give you tools to use throughout your day to combat upper body pain caused from sitting at your desk in front of your laptop.
This class is designed to help you move and feel better – we have a series each month with a focus on a specific group/area of the body with assessments at the beginning and end of the month so you can see just how much progress is made! I recommend purchasing a 5 or 10 Class Pass for classes at Korrective Healing. The classes at the Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex are sold through WMRC!
We build some heat, but we also focus on meditation, stretching, and quieting the mind.
Bring a yoga mat and water!

Grown Ups + Littles Yoga
This class is designed for a Grown Up and a Little (child) to spend time together through movement, breathwork, and meditation. Introducing Littles to concepts like breath work and meditation at a young age help with processing big emotions by giving them tools to call on when needed. It is recommended that Littles are between the ages of 5-8 years old.

Prenatal Yoga
This class is slower paced with the goal of strengthening the bond between Mama and baby through movement, relaxation techniques, meditation, and breath work. The hope is that in addition to practicing mindful movement, you will also be able to practice calming the mind and focusing on the breath so you can feel confident using these tools during labour and delivery.

Supported Restorative
This class is designed to be a retreat from the responsibilities and stresses of the day. Allow the blocks, bolsters, pillows, and blankets to support and comfort you as you sink into the restorative, relaxing poses and let the tension melt away.

Restorative Tune Up
This class uses blocks, bolsters, pillows and blankets to support you and your comfort throughout the class. We will additionally use the Tune Up balls to target achy muscles and release any tension you may be holding from the day. Leave feeling relaxed and restored!
